There was a significant
amount of sparring with padded weapons, which encompassed the
utilisation of different weapons and weapon combinations; environmental
training; and the management of multiple opponents from both
a solo defenders’ point of view, as well as the use of
team tactics in group combat scenarios. The camp concluded with an intense session
of paintballing in teams, which was a very enlightening experience! It
brought new meaning to the term “impact training” in
relation to a paintball travelling at 200mph towards you! The summer camp provided an opportunity for
IFMA members to forge new friendships, renew old ones, and
to grow together in the Filipino Martial Arts through shared
mutual experiences. The camp achieved its objectives
and was a resounding success. We’re all looking forward
to next year! |
